jungle adventures:
so got to Peru a couple weeks ago and am here for next two months this summer, at the beginning of our trip we went to lima for a few days then to the jungle for a few too, here are just a few things we did while we were there:

- held a sloth and a boa
- fed a banana to a monkey, who almost jumped ontop of one of the people with us trying to get the banana.
- hiked through the jungle. so much more intense than it sounds. pretty much every five seconds our guide would stop and point at something and say this can kill you. hah.. but really, for example there are these ants the size of quarters that are called shotgun ants. according to our guide (who got bit by one when he was little) they call them that because it feels like you got shot by a shotgun when they bite you. if they bite you 3 times you die. amazing right?
- boated around the amazon, saw some pink dolphins, went fishing, took naps in hammocks,
swung from vines like tarzan.
- ate sugar cane. sooo good.
- danced with some jungle tribe. the kids were so cute. they would come up and whisper really quiet propina (tip), and ask for candy and gum. or pretty much anything you wanted to give them like hair ties
