peru was amazing. the beginning of the trip we spent a few days in lima and a few in iquitos as well as in the middle of the amazon jungle. after that we went to trujillo for 2 months and worked in the orphanage there. after a hard goodbye to the kids, the last week we went to cusco for inti raymi, and also visited manchu picchu. people ask me how it was and i feel so dumb because all i say was it was so good or something like that because i don't know how to describe the last 2 months in a sentence and do them justice. so many good stories. such great kids. it was incredible. here is alfredo, id like to say i didn't have favorites but i did and he was it.
after peru i flew into LAX and stayed a couple days in la canada to celebrate the 4th there with friends. haha not to mention i was in dire need of a little shopping and pinkberry.
i finally came home to arizona for a few days then left again for our yearly family trip to laguna for two weeks. good thing too because arizona was so much more hot than i ever remembered. it was so good to see brooke and kelly and tom!
now im back in arizona and in a few days get to have a lovely tonsilectomy. should be fun!
